The 90s. Mauricio, a famous Spanish rocker, travels around Latin America looking to rediscover his vocation. There he meets Don Carlos, an elderly musician who, despite being the author of some of his country’s most famous folk songs, is barely able to pay his bills. Carlos generously welcomes the strange visitor, acting as a musical Mr. Miyagi. From their encounter a quirky quixotic duet is born, with all the signs of being a complete commercial failure.
